EIP Pharma in Cambridge, MA said on April 15 that it completed an $11.2m private financing with Adage Capital Management, Rock Springs Capital and Mossrock Capital. The company will use the cash to explore the use of its oral small molecule inhibitor of p38 MAP kinase alpha, neflamapimod, in the treatment of dementia with Lewy bodies and cognitive deficits in Huntington's disease with Phase II studies expected to begin in the second quarter of 2019. Results are expected in the fall from the Phase IIb REVERSE-SD study, which is testing neflamapimod in early Alzheimer's disease.
